The Budget and Financial Management Division is a part of the government of the State of Connecticut. The division manages and coordinates the implementation of financial and programmatic policies for state agencies. It develops guidelines, procedures and automated tools that support the formulation and execution of state s fiscal policy. The Budget and Financial Management Division provides analyses, evaluations and recommendations on a variety of issues, including policy, labor relations, pensions and revenues. It operates through various sections, including transportation, application development and support, health and human services, and conservation and development. In addition, the Budget and Financial Management Division maintains a finance advisory committee.

As a part of the State of Connecticut, the Department of Public Health offers a range of medical care services for individuals and families who suffer with illnesses and diseases. It works to promote physical and mental health, prevent disease, injury and disability, and protect and improve the health and safety of the general public of Connecticut. The department promotes immunization through public awareness sessions and supporting vaccination clinics, as well as issues birth and death certificates and child day care and youth camp licenses. The Department of Public Health conducts assessments for hazardous waste sites and risk communication and education sessions related to potential environmental risk sites.
