The Southeastern Mental Health Authority provides a range of mental health and clinical services. It offers behavioral health treatment, respite care, and crisis intervention and assessment services. The agency features a wellness recovery and advocacy program that promotes the achievement of community independence through recovery planning, advocacy, outreach and clinical support services. It also offers medication monitoring and inpatient treatment services. The Southeastern Mental Health Authority is funded by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. It is accredited by The Joint Commission. The agency maintains a location in Norwich, Conn. The Southeastern Mental Health Authority is a part of The Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, which promotes and administers recovery-oriented services in the areas of mental health treatment and substance abuse prevention throughout Connecticut.

The 13,000-square-foot facility features 12 treatment rooms, triage area, convenient care, laboratory services, waiting area, and diagnostic imaging including X-ray, mammography, bone density scans, ultrasound and CT Scans.
