About Crest Mechanical Crest was founded in 1964 as Crest Plumbing & Heating Co by Silvio Breglio, a dedicated and hard working plumbing and heating mechanic. From its modest beginning in Rocky Hill, CT with four employees servicing Hartford County, the business grew and was relocated to Hartford some twenty years later. In 1984 with a much larger facility, Crest opened a sheet metal fabricating shop for its HVAC installations, and also began fabricating and installing fire protection systems. At the same time we expanded our service department providing service to plumbing, piping, HVAC and fire protection systems. We also have a drain cleaning division, which allows us to fully service all of the plumbing needs of our customers. Crest is now a third generation family-owned company with a wide base of commercial, industrial and institutional customers. These customers rely on us for the constructing and servicing of all types of mechanical systems from chiller replacement, cogeneration systems, process piping, medical gas nd all types of systems in between. We maintain a fleet of over 35 vehicles and employ just under 100 people. In late 2008, Crest opened a much larger sheet metal fabrication shop with more state-of the-art equipment in a second Hartford location. We now have the ability to fabricate higher specification ductwork and piping and meet tighter schedules.
