Brooksvale Park, located in Hamden, CT, is a sprawling 500-acre park gifted to the town by Enos Brooks, a former farmer of the land. Since its official naming in 1947, the park has been under the care of the town's Parks and Recreation Department, with Ranger Vinny Lavorgna currently overseeing the property.
Home to annual events such as the Fall Festival and a popular maple syrup program in the spring, Brooksvale Park also boasts amenities like two softball fields and a picnic pavilion. The park's Veteran's Memorial Building has been recently refurbished, and the Friends of Brooksvale Park was established in 2004 to provide additional support to the park's ongoing maintenance and programs.
