First County Bank began as Stamford Savings Bank in September 1851 with assets totaling five dollars. The bank has since grown to 12 branches located in Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk and Westport, Conn. First County s deposited assets now total more than $150 million.
