Choose Outdoors is a Denver-based organization dedicated to educating Americans about the numerous benefits and value of healthy forests for recreational activities and the significance of sustainable forest management. Led by Bruce Ward, the organization's President, Choose Outdoors is also involved in producing the TV series "America's Forests with Chuck Leavell," which explores various issues, opportunities, and innovations related to the nation's forests. Since 1970, the U.S. Forest Service has provided a tree for the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC during the holiday season, and in 2023, the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will be sourced from West Virginia.
