What a gem for this community. This museum was the old County Jail. Walsenburg was called the "City Built on Coal" during the late 19th and early 20th centuries with more than 100 mining camps...

Stopped in to visit the Walsenburg Mining Museum today. It was very interesting and had very excellent relics from the mining industry. The lady working was very friendly and full of information....
