United Power is a nonprofit, rural cooperative that offers electric services for residential and business clients throughout Colorado. The cooperative serves more than 65,000 meters that represents over 120,000 customers. It serves an area of nearly 900 square miles. The cooperative maintains electric franchise agreements in various Colorado cities. United Power maintains approximately 5,600 miles of lines. The cooperative, formerly known as Union Rural Electric, was incorporated in 1938. It operates the Platte Valley Division and a rebate program. The cooperative offers online payment, power outage management and streetlight repairs solutions, as well as energy saving tips. United Power is a part of Touchstone Energy.
