Tri-County Health Department

The Tri-County Health Department works to protect, promote and improve the health, environment and quality of life of the residents of Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties in Colorado. It is one of the largest health departments in Colorado. The department serves more than 1,250,000 residents. The Tri-County Health Department tracks infectious disease data through the Colorado Electronic Disease Reporting System. It offers water pollution prevention, land use planning consultation, solid and hazardous waste disposal, septic system permit and inspection, and mosquito and rodent control surveillance solutions. The department administers the WIC program, which includes special supplemental nutritional services for women, children and infants.

Located in Northglenn, Colo., Tri-County Health Department is one of the largest local health departments in Colorado. It offers an array of services, such as disease control/prevention, immunizations, birth/death certificates, nutrition, tobacco prevention, family planning, prenatal care, environmental health, restaurant inspections and emergency preparedness. The department caters to the 1,250,000 residents of Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas Counties through its 11 offices situated across the greater metro Denver region. Tri-County Health Department is a recipient of NACCHO (National Association of County and City Health Officials) Model Practices Award.
