The Yearling is a captivating sculpture created by artist Donald Lipski, featuring a 21-foot tall red painted steel chair and a 6-foot tall fiberglass pintopony. Originally commissioned for an elementary school in upper Manhattan, the piece aims to evoke a sense of wonder in children and adults alike.
This monumental artwork was temporarily displayed in New York City's Central Park in 1997 before being permanently installed in Denver in 1998. Generously donated to the city by the NBT Foundation, The Yearling continues to inspire and provoke thought among its viewers.
