The Twisted Tulip

The Twisted Tulip was born from a situation that many couples are experiencing today. Its owners, Larry Martinez and Lynne Bessette, had both lost their corporate jobs to downsizing after seventeen years in their respective careers. Wanting to explore their creative sides, the couple explored opening a business of their own. Larry and Lynne were both drawn to the floral industry and attended floral design school. Eventually, the couple decided to open up a brand-new business with a fresh concept. Since both held a deep love of Hawaii, they decided to establish a relationship with growers in Maui so that they could have fresh tropical flowers always available for their floral designs. Additionally, these unusual tropical offerings could be paired with a vibrant array of readily available flowers to create artistic and unusual arrangements unmatched by other floral designers. With that, a fabulous master designer and a great location in Cherry Creek North, the Twisted Tulip was born in March of 2004. Now in its fifth year of operation, The Twisted Tulip boasts thousands of customers, many of whom are Denver's most influential businesses and individuals. 5280 magazine named the Twisted Tulip, the place Denver loves to shop and recently, the editors of Colorado Homes and Lifestyles Magazine honored them with Best Florist. Additionally, this flower shop was selected to participate in an upscale wire service, only available to shops which do amazing and unusual work. The Twisted Tulip has been part of this network since its inception. The Twisted Tulip also offers a unique selection of quality gifts and decor items. Its lovely shop boasts hand-selected products, not often seen in other retail stores in Denver. A wide variety of plants is also available, as are custom gift / gourmet baskets made to order.
