When I decided to launch my own practice after several years at a large law firm, I wanted to focus on criminal defense, DUI defense, and traffic defense for a number of reasons. First, the subject matter and legal issues interest me. Like most people, I do my best work when I'm passionate about the task at hand. Second, it feels good to have an opportunity to help people who find themselves in an unfamiliar, uncomfortable situation. Third, working as a criminal defense attorney allows me to feel idealistic about my profession. I see my myself playing an important role in helping make the justice system work properly and ensuring that the government respects the rights of its citizens.
