Sunlight Mountain Resort

Sunlight Mountain Resort, located in Glenwood Springs, Colo., offers terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. It offers the Sunlight Mountain's Extreme, a steep trail, and the Heathen trail that has a pitch of 52 degrees. The Heathen trail is one of the steepest trails in the state. The resort is also home to Ute, one of the longest trails in the region which is a cruising beginning slope that winds more than 2-1/2 miles from the summit to the base. The resort also offers lessons at the Sunlight Ski School for beginners. Ski and snowboard instructors also offer basic lessons and training for individuals with special needs. Lessons are offered through its adaptive program and include special assistance and introduction to the use of a bi-ski on beginner terrain.
