Rocky Mountain Budokan, originally known as the Mountain States Karate Association, has been a cornerstone of martial arts in Englewood, Colorado, since its establishment in 1965 by Mr. Hideki Iwakabe, an accomplished instructor holding multiple black belts in Shotokan Karate, Kendo, and Iaido. As the first and oldest karate school in Englewood and the pioneering Kendo and Iaido school in Colorado, it adheres to traditional Japanese customs and formalities in its teaching methods.

The dojo offers a variety of classes, including Shotokan Karate, Kendo, and Iaido, as well as seasonal programs such as summer camps and annual tournaments.
