Rifle Middle School

Rifle Middle School enrolls more than 300 students in grades five through eight. The school s academic curriculum includes classes in math, literacy, science and social studies. Its sports activities include basketball, baseball, football, and track and field. Rifle Middle School also has a parent-teacher association that encourages parental involvement in children s education. The school has a staff of over 60 teachers. In addition, it offers after-school care programs that include homework assistance and tutoring services. It additionally administers the Gifted and Talented Education program (G.A.T.E.), which includes enrichment activities for high-performance students. Rifle Middle School is located in Rifle, Colo. The school is a part of Garfield Re-2, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
