Dr.Hoover was elected to the COA Board of Trustees in 2004, has been Secretary/Treasurer, and President of the Colorado Optometric Association. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Hoover has been an active member of the Glenwood Springs community as past President and current member of the Glenwood Springs Lions Club; as a volunteer visual science instructor at Colorado Mountain College; as a vision screening coordinator for CMC's Gateway program; as a volunteer optometrist for the Lions Club Vision Fair; and as a volunteer for Special Olympics vision screening projects in Colorado.
