History
Arrival of technologies to assist liposuction (laser, water jet, ultrasound) in the early to mid 2000's made traditional liposuction obsolete and decreased dramatically harmful side effects of the procedure. Arrival of these same technologies enabled liposuction to be safely performed under local anesthesia and mild sedation thus eliminating the necessity of general anesthesia. Better results; faster recovery and fewer serious side effects led to the introduction of liposuction into my practice.
