Founded in 1990, Protogenic is a professional service bureau that manufactures prototypes and conceptual models using stereolithography and laser sintering rapid prototyping technology. It offers silicone rubber molds and cast polyurethane parts for limited pre-production quantities. Protogenic operates a more than 20,000-square-foot manufacturing space. Its customers include Ball Aerospace, Nortel, Aruba Wireless Networks, Compaq, Dell, Exabyte, Hewlett Packard, Hunter Douglas and Ametek Dixson. The company also sells products to Kaiser Electronics, Datex-Ohmeda, Phoenix International, Rockwell, Kendall Sherwood Davis & Geck, StorageTek, WaterPik Technologies, ValleyLab and 3M. Protogenic has injection molding capabilities that include coining, sterilization and packaging. It has been certified by the International Organization for Standardization.
