Planned Parenthood

Founded in 1975, South Central Council of Governments represents a collaboration between government and agencies to enhance community services and increase available funding levels in order to raise local standards of living. Based in Trinidad, Colo., It works with local entities in the Huerfano and Las Animas counties. The organization assists with grant applications to both state and local agencies and sets up community-needed programs, such as meals for senior citizens, transit services, day care services and housing rehabilitation. Other programs include energy resources, care services, public transportation and early learning center.
