The Pikes Peak Historical Society (PPHS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Florissant and the western slope of Pikes Peak. Through memberships and donations, the society supports its mission with the help of volunteers who serve on various committees and operate two museums: the Pikes Peak Historical Society Museum and the Schoolhouse Museum.

In addition to its museum operations, PPHS actively engages in community efforts, including managing the historic Florissant Pioneer Cemetery and sponsoring educational programs and area beautification initiatives. The society collaborates with various local partners to promote historical awareness and community involvement.
