Welcome to Alpine Orthopaedics, Sports Performance & Regional Hand Center, founded by Gloria M. Beim, M.D. in 1996 and is located on the Western Slope of the Colorado Rockies. We hold clinics in five locales: The Gunnison clinic is the main office and is located at 112 West Spencer Avenue and is only a few blocks from Western State College where our doctors are team physicians for the athletic department; the Mt. Crested Butte clinic is located at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Ski Resort; the Crested Butte clinic is located at 405 Elk Avenue in the Town of Crested Butte; and our Telluride clinic is held at the offices of Telluride Medical Center 500 West Pacific. Our physicians have treated thousands of athletes from Olympians to weekend warriors with skiing, snow-boarding, hiking, biking, and just about any other sports injuries with the main goal of getting the patient back to their sport as quickly and safely as possible. The goal of our practice is to return the patient to the freedom of an active, pain-free life style at any age. We enjoy practicing in a small town environment and developing long-standing personal relationships with our patients. Most gratifying is seeing our patients return to an active lifestyle, whether it is biking, skiing, golfing, horseback riding or just enjoying living in such a beautiful recreational area as Gunnison Country. Dr Beim has teamed up with a nationally known health writer to produce the first authoritative guide for keeping female athletes - from elite competitors to working mothers trying to fit in a work-out - healthy and injury free.
