History
Our School Preschool started in 1973 when Yvonne Mayer created a non-profit play based preschool for children in Boulder County. She designed it as a teacher parent cooperative using attachment theory. Our School grew over the years serving children from 18 months to 5 years old. We currently own our own building - a house with a lovely back yard. We were excited to receive an ECHO grant in 2018 to add more improvements to our play area. We are a member of the Colorado Shines program with a rating of 4 out of 5. We serve all children regardless of ability, race, gender, culture or ability to pay.

Since 1973, Our School has stood by the knowledge that a child's physical, cognitive, linguistic, emotional & social development occur through creative and constructive play. Learning acquired through the play process stimulates and encourages curiosity, discoveries, investigation and an understanding of the interrelationships of their world.
