Northeast Colorado Retac
The Northeast Colorado Regional EMS Trauma Advisory Council (NCRETAC) is a consortium of 9 counties in Northeast Colorado, dedicated to fostering and supporting the development of cooperative and cost-effective emergency medical trauma systems. Covering a vast area of 17,434.35 square miles along the northern border of Colorado, NCRETAC shares borders with Nebraska and Wyoming to the north, and Nebraska and Kansas to the east.
With a diverse geographic and demographic landscape, the region faces unique challenges and strengths, ranging from counties with sparse populations to those experiencing significant growth. NCRETAC's board of directors, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners in each county, ensures balanced representation between pre-hospital and facilities, working towards the common goal of improved patient care through coordinated planning and implementation.
