The sane day we were here, 10 inmates escaped in New Orleans. In 2009, two inmates escaped into the museum yard. Great museum that really covered everything prison related in a unique way. Good...

The website notes a 'tour' of the facility which apparently they have not done for years due to an escape by one of the trustees that use to give tours ! So you can only 'tour' the museum which...

Fun museum! Quaint, self led tour with a guide provided to you at check in. Tickets were pretty cheap and we used a great Groupon for them. Some of the information was understandably more graphic...

Really interesting and well curated. Not a major time commitment. Worth a stop. Also inexpensive.
