Antero Farms is a family owned business serving the Chaffee and Lake county areas of the Upper Arkansas Valley. On the former site of Antero Llamas, the farm is nestled against the Arkansas hills near Hecla Junction. We offer winter horse boarding (full for 2013-2014 season), gravel driveway and private gravel drive maintenance, and winter snow removal. For the best possible service, snow removal fills up early and is typically done by contract prior to November 1st. Otherwise it's first call first serve. Tom and Jennifer have raised horses and operated farm equipment for 20 years. Originally from Oklahoma, they are making the transition to the beautiful Upper Arkansas Valley in Chaffee county. They are also working on forming a non-profit organization to support horse rescue and provide therapeutic equine services to military veterans and first responder personnel nationwide. Contracts are available for season long commitments to provide snow clearing. The contracts are based off an estimate of time and frequency of need. They do provide for excessively wet or dry winters. They are the best value if you know you'll need it! Gravel drives need constant attention in our varied climate. Pot holes, wash board effect, rough patches, and drainage are always a concern. Let us smooth out your ride today. We also offer warm season long contracts to keep it maintained.
