HistoryKishami Academy is an independent school that deals with powerful people; students who think differently or need a little extra attention to achieve success. Our Mission is to see all students succeed by addressing their needs individually: empowering students by filling in missing knowledge and letting students learn at their own pace. We have worked with students with autism, ADD, PTSD, TBI's, dyslexia, and those learning the English language. HistoryThank you so much for taking an interest and visiting our page! I am the proud owner and operator of Springs Literacy and Language Therapy Center. I am also the lead instructor and evaluator here. I am extremely passionate about what I do, serving the brilliant minds of dyslexic or otherwise struggling readers. I have (and continue to have) the fortune and joy of sharing in my students' successes as we work together in therapy. I truly love what I do, and think that passion is reflected in the daily work I do and the outcomes I create.SpecialtiesWe are a locally owned and operated Literacy Center serving students of all ages with language-based learning disabilities including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other undiagnosed difficulties with reading, spelling, handwriting, comprehension, and written composition. We remediate students with language-based learning disabilities using extensive training in research based literacy intervention curriculums. For dyslexia therapy we mainly use Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervnetion for Students with Dyslexia. We also use resources and curriculums from publishers like Neuhaus and Educators Publishing Service. All materials used are research based and tailored to meet the individual needs of students in small group or one-on-one tutoring settings.
