Jay Lock's Professional Guitar Instruction

History

As an aspiring young guitar player in his teenage years Jay discovered an affinity for teaching/simplifying learning the guitar. As he grew as both a student and teacher of music he learned the value of creating inspiring teaching techniques, through the practice of songs, improvisation, and the development of a unique musical identity. As a teacher for the past 10 years Jay continues to better the guitar community around him.

Learning guitar can be a frustrating experience with the overwhelming amount of information online and inconsistent in person lessons. With our lessons we break the guitar down into bite sized portions that all ages and skill levels can accomplish. Through a focus on practical technique, chords, scales, music theory, songs, and improvisation we build a widely developed musical background for all students. These lessons are based upon you! By utilizing a students interests and musical preferences we forge lessons intended to lead each individual student on their own particular path.
