Born and raised in Colorado's Grand Valley, Jeana's call toward midwifery began when she was 12 years old and she witnessed her sister emerge from her mother's body. That moment sparked a passion and fascination for all things birth. Jeana earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. She spent the next six years working as a Labor & Delivery nurse at St. Mary's Medical Center. She then decided to pursue midwifery and a Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. As a board-certified nurse midwife, Jeana's passion turned into a purpose. As a certified nurse midwife Jeana is an advocate of shared decision making as a key component in patient centered healthcare."I love women, and because I love women, there is no role more honorable and rewarding than the role of your midwife in the most transformative time in your life."Jeana has been married for more than 27 years and has four children of her own. When not working, she enjoys spending time hanging out with her family and cooking.

Bloomin' Babies Birth Center provides women a safe, home-like environment for their health care needs: from preconception, through pregnancy, to and through menopause. The birth center promotes natural birth to low risk women: low tech - high hands on and offers them an option to the current choices of giving birth in a hospital or at home. Women are empowered to become a partner in their health care. They decide on whether they want to give birth in a bed, on a birthing stool or in a birthing tub. Friends and family members can be in attendance during the birth if the woman wants. Midwives will assist the women in her pre-natal, labor and delivery and post natal care.
