Very challenging but very fun hike. I'm a fairly experienced hiker and I struggled to ascend back up the mountain. It takes approx. 1 hour down and 2 hours up. Beautiful scenery that can't be beat.

Nice stop for a picnic This rest area overlooks a lake that is upstream from a dam on the Gunnison river. It's nice enough and has a nice view. We stopped here because we need to eat a lunch...
