Established in 1970, Salud Family Health Centers is a nonprofit organization that offers a range of services for farmworkers. It employs more than 400 people, including physicians, licensed psychologists, registered nurses, case managers and health educators. The organization s medical services include minor surgeries, immunizations, colorectal screenings and pediatric care. Its family practice clinics offer pregnancy care and family planning and gynecological services. The organization also offers specialty services in various fields, including otolaryngology, cardiology, ophthalmology and podiatry. It operates more than 10 clinics and provides training opportunities for medical students. Salud Family Health Centers, with a location in Fort Lupton, Colo., is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
