He graduated from Trinidad State Junior College, Police Academy, Trinidad Colorado, with a P.O.S.T. certificate and Everest College, Thornton, Colorado, with a Paralegal Degree. In addition, he has completed various criminal justices courses at Pueblo Community College, Pueblo, Colorado.
