History

Full Cycle began by selling and repairing used bicycles for customers in the back of a small grocery store on Pearl Street. In 1986, due to an increase in business, it moved to a new location on the Hill. By the late 1990s, our service staff had such a reputation that at one point 6 of the top 10 US mountain bike race teams had a Full Cycle mechanic. The staff had grown and two of the new employees were Kevin Kelly & Kaj Gronholm. Kevin went on to become a pro mechanic, and Kaj went to CU to get his MBA. In 2005, the current owners sold Full Cycle to Kevin & Colleen Kelly and Kaj & Karli Gronholm because they new this group would carry on the passion to keep Full Cycle great. In 2006, Full Cycle expanded to Pearl Street in Boulder and opened up shop in Fort Collins.

Even though we are big, you'll find that it's easy to know everyone in the shop by name. Full Cycle is a locally-owned business, and we strive to know our customers by name.
