Fruita Police Dept

The Fruita Police Department is a law enforcement and public safety agency that works to protect the life and property of residents and visitors, as well as reduce the fear of crime. It is comprised of a chief of police, records supervisor, detective and patrol sergeants. The department maintains the details of sex offenders in the community. The Fruita Police Department operates under the government of the city of Fruita, Colo., which also governs animal control, public works, recreation, human resources, engineering and community development departments. The city government also operates a finance department that provides services related to accounting, budgeting, utility billing, payroll and investments.
