Friends of the Dillon Ranger District
Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) is dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and recreational opportunities within the Dillon Ranger District of the White River National Forest in Colorado. Covering approximately 75% of Summit County, the area boasts over 450 miles of trails, two wilderness areas, four ski areas, and numerous peaks exceeding 13,000 feet in elevation.
FDRD actively engages with the local community to maintain and enhance the forest's health through volunteer programs, educational initiatives, and partnerships with the U.S. Forest Service. Their efforts not only support the environment but also contribute significantly to the local economy and recreational experiences for residents and visitors alike.
