Hanson Elementary
Hanson PreK-8, formerly known as Hanson Elementary School, offers a range of educational programs to students in prekindergarten through grade eight. It hosts breakfast with the principal once a month to promote parental involvement. The school offers a six-week benchmark program that assesses students growth in reading, writing and math. It also offers the English Language Learners program for students with limited English proficiency. The school additionally offers several language programs, including Fast ForWord, Reading First, accelerated reader and IDEA English oral language instruction. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as art, English, social studies, science, computers, science, music and physical education. Hanson PreK-8 is located in Commerce City, Colo., and is a part of Adams County School District 14.
