The Delta Police Department in Delta, CO is dedicated to providing quality service to all members of the community through integrity and honor, while always striving for excellence. With a staff of twenty-nine individuals, including twenty-three Colorado POST certified law enforcement officers, they work tirelessly to ensure public safety for almost 9,000 citizens, patrolling sixty-seven miles of streets in over a fourteen square mile radius.

Operating twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year, the Delta Police Department is the only law enforcement agency in Delta County that is on duty around the clock. They have a minimum of two police officers on duty at all times, along with a detective and command staff either working or on call. In addition to their law enforcement duties, they also have support staff assigned to animal control, code enforcement, records, evidence, public information, community policing, and victim advocacy.
