Colorado Plastics
History
Early Days The business which was to eventually become Colorado Plastic Products was founded in 1969 by Dale Shaklee as Boulder Plastics. The company was an offshoot of Mr. Shaklee's Boulder Machine Shop at 31st and Pearl Streets in Boulder. The name was changed to Colorado Plastic Products in the 1970's under the second ownership group, composed of Tom Vincent and another gentleman. 1970's, 80's and 90's In 1978, Ralph and Jane Ranson bought the business. Various members of the Ranson family operated the business for 27 years. The longest serving member of the Colorado Plastic Products staff is believed to be Steve Nelson who tells us that he worked under three different groups, for 31 total years. Current Ownership In September 2005, Drew and Anita Schwartz purchased Colorado Plastics.
