Colorado Hsing-I Kung Fu

History

After moving to Colorado 2007, Shrfu Brandon started teaching Hsing-I Chuan Kung Fu to the Denver community. In addition to leading classes, Brandon teaches traditional Chinese medicine and advanced acupuncture techniques at local TCM colleges. His specialty is in sports medicine acupuncture, trauma, pain, and infertility.

Specialties

Hsing-I is heavily rooted in the ancient philosophies of Taoism, 5 elemental theory, and the 12 animal concepts of Chinese culture. Our group classes are for adults only, and include warming and conditioning exercises, meditation, technical two-person drills, forms, application of combat techniques, push hands, and full-contact sparring. By no means is Hsing-I only a proven fighting art, it is also deeply rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. Practitioners will develop and strengthen their mind, body and spirit as a whole. Some benefits include increased bone density, stronger ligaments and tendons, increased lymphatic drainage, boosted immune system, and increased confidence within one's self.
