Colorado Fourteeners
The Colorado Fourteeners Initiative (CFI) is dedicated to protecting and preserving the natural integrity of Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks through stewardship and public education. Established in 1994, CFI partners with the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and a network of volunteers and donors to restore fragile alpine ecosystems impacted by increased recreational use.
Through volunteer opportunities, educational programs, and active trail maintenance projects, CFI works to enhance the hiking experience while ensuring the preservation of these iconic mountain areas. Their mission emphasizes community involvement and environmental awareness to sustain the high country for future generations.
