Founded in 1982, Coats for Colorado is the nation's first coat drive, initiated by Dependable Cleaners in response to a customer’s desire to help the underprivileged. Over the years, the organization has collected, cleaned, and distributed more than 2 million coats to individuals and families in need throughout the Denver metro area.

With partnerships involving 120 non-profit health and human service agencies, Coats for Colorado has become a cherished holiday tradition for Denver residents. The initiative not only inspires similar coat drives across the United States but also encourages community involvement through donations, volunteering, and events.
