CLEER (Clean Energy Economy for the Region) is a program that focuses on driving economic development through clean energy initiatives in Garfield and Mesa counties in Colorado. Over the past eight years, CLEER's programs and services have resulted in millions of dollars in investments in clean energy upgrades, leading to significant energy savings for homes, businesses, and government buildings. They have also facilitated the development of solar garden projects, bringing a total of 11 megawatts of solar energy to the region.

Working in partnership with local governments and solar developers, CLEER has successfully secured energy purchase contracts and subscriptions for these solar garden projects, allowing towns to transition to 100% solar-powered energy. The projects not only provide cost savings for the towns but also contribute to the overall goal of climate protection.
