Lafayette Parks & Recreation department, Lafayette, Colo., offers a wide variety of recreation opportunities for its citizens all-year-round. The recreation center is housed on 20 acres of parklike land. It features a four-field youth sports complex, an in-line hockey rink and the city's outdoor classroom. The recreation center along with the sports complex and outdoor classroom provides a community focal point for family recreation. Founded in 1990, the center houses a gymnasium, dance room, running track and multipurpose rooms. Additionally, it features a residential-style kitchen with refrigerators, sinks, stoves and microwaves. Lafayette Parks & Recreation also provides rooms on rent.
