History

Jack McDonough started this business when he got into tax trouble himself. He found that there were limited resources and un-knowledgeable professionals in the business. He took the time to learn the codes, and understand how he could help himself. He tried to represent himself and the IRS would not listen to him. He realized that he would need a third-party in order to be successful. So he hired an attorney, did all the research and gave it to him. He was successful. From there he created BlackFin to provide experienced help to other taxpayers struggling with the IRS or State.

BlackFin specializes in tax resolution. We prepare returns and we also help you once we find out you owe money. We negotiate with tax entities in order to resolve tax debt associated with the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Colorado. We work on releasing levies, wage garnishments, seizure, and liens. We also argue in audit hearings our staff is licensed to appear before the Tax Court. At BlackFin IRS, we provide a personalized approach to tax resolution.
