There are many places you can go for counseling, making it a confusing choice. You might already have had an experience with counseling that was unhelpful or even hurtful, and for that I am sorry. You are doing your homework right now, good job! I know that even when you find the right counselor it's hard to know where to begin, it's hard to not be cynical about what could possibly change. I also know that somewhere deep within you there is a hope that maybe you can heal, maybe you can be free of some of the pain, shame, hurts, addictions, struggles, or the anger in your life.
