History

The Art Underground began offering classes out of its temporary location on Main Street in Louisville, CO in September of 2007. January of 2008 marked its Grand Opening in its custom-designed underground studio space on Front Street. Since it's opening, TAU has grown and evolved, establishing a talented and diverse body of teachers and expanding it's class, theater, and outreach programming in response to feedback from the community. Today it is part of a vibrant hub of artists and arts organizations in the Historic Downtown Louisville area.

Since 2007, our arts center has been providing specialized programs for individuals of all ages. Whether you have a wobbling toddler that enjoys dance or you're a seasoned artist looking for something new, our art center is perfect for you! Our programs include: - Dance - Theater - Art - Film - And more! We are also home to an open gallery so you can enjoy local art exhibits and shows with your friends and family. In addition to our performance programs, we also offer rental spaces for private events, receptions, corporate meetings, birthday parties, and other gatherings!
