Defense Commissary Agency, also known as DeCA, operates a worldwide chain of commissaries that provides groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families. Its authorized shoppers include active duty and retired personnel, National Guard and reserves and their family members. The commissary provides groceries at a specific cost and surcharge for usage in fund commissary constructions and renovations. Headquartered in Fort Lee, Va., Defense Commissary Agency also has a location in USAF Academy, Colo. Founded in 1991, its has bakery, deli, dairy, frozen food, grocery, produce, and health and beauty departments. The commissary offers several baby care products, such as diapers, utensils, feeding supplies, lotions, creams, oils, medicines and soaps.
