Police Department - Brighton

The Brighton Police Department protects residents lives and their property, prevents crime, enforces law and maintains order and peace. It maintains a citizens police academy that provides training programs related to law, firearms instruction, defensive tactics, first aid, patrol procedures and investigations. The Brighton Police Department supports the Explorer Program, which is a worksite-based program for youths between the ages of 14 and 20. The department maintains a patrol division that responds to service and accident-related calls. In addition, the division addresses issues related to traffic ordinances and crime prevention. Located in Brighton, Colo., the Brighton Police Department also has records, community resources, victim services and detective divisions.
