The Wheat Ridge Police Department's Training Unit, a part of the City of Wheat Ridge in Colorado, coordinates and funds training for employees. It maintains training history and records for police department s employees. The unit also offers a new employee orientation program and uses reference materials. The Wheat Ridge Police Department's Training Unit manages the requests for the repair and replacement of damaged and worn equipment and uniforms. In addition, it prepares and tracks budgeted funds in training unit accounts. The City of Wheat Ridge operates administrative, community development, police, public works, and parks and recreation departments. It also provides graffiti removal inspection and street sweeping services.
