History
Zot's Famous Steamed Hot Dogs opened up in the Park Plaza Shopping Center in 1972 by Mr. Jergins (Back then it was called the Downtown Fashion Plaza). After two years, he sold to Lance Marshall. Two years later, in 1976, Lance opened up a second location in the new Garden Walk Mall in downtown Chico. Lance operated both stores until 1987. In 1987 he sold Zot's in the Park Plaza to 22 year old and hot dog conocier, Val Montague. in 1988, with help from family members, Val acquired the Garden Walk location. Think the recipe changed or something, looks and tastes complete different now, way less cheese, the chili is thick has hella beans and is not saucey

$5 meal, doesn't get better than that. Love the Great Dane size for those wanting a to make a meal out of the Zot's experience

Super delicious hotdogs! Service was excellent as well! Older couple ( I assume) owns this spot and they even bring you your food would recommend trying this hidden gem

New owner is a piece of shit, this is not the same place it used to be, unfortunately no one will ever be able to experience the amazing chico hot dog place this used to be. I hope the new owner...
