The church's roots trace back to December 23, 1964, when Zion Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church held its inaugural service at Apostle Mrs. A.B. Emerson's residence, starting with just 23 members. After a successful 47-year ministry, Pastor Emerson's legacy continued with a merger in 2010, uniting Zion Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church and House of Prayer Evangelistic Center to form a vibrant community committed to spiritual growth and outreach.
